Prayer Shawl Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to bring comfort to those in need. The people who receive the Prayer Shawls can feel that they have the prayers of the church wrapped around them.

The shawls are handmade, knitted or crocheted, by church members. This group meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month beginning in October from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Bride's Room.

Anyone can give a Prayer Shawl. If you know of someone who is ill or needs comforting, stop by the Welcome Center desk and pick up a Prayer Shawl. Please fill out the blank card and leave it at the desk. Then, take the shawl and the Prayer card to give to the person in need.

On the first Sunday of each month, the Prayer Shawls that have been made are placed by the altar. As you go to take communion, please say a prayer that these shawls will bring comfort to those who receive them.
