Volunteer Opportunities on Sunday Mornings

Ushers

The task of ushering is an ecumenical, bipartisan, gender-neutral program assisting in all of the Sunday morning worship services. Being an usher is the greatest "people watching" event you will ever find because of the interaction with church members and visitors. An usher's duties include handing out the worship bulletin, assisting the people in finding a seat, taking up the offering, assisting the clergy with the communion service, gathering the attendance pads, and cleaning up after the service. Last but not least, be kind and gracious in every event. People tend to respond in a positive way if they feel you genuinely care about the situation at hand.
