Bio:

Heidi L. Hoke, PhD, ND, MSHH, CHt is the founder and practitioner of Vitae Pondera Institute of Integrative Health in Granbury, Texas. With over 20 years of professional practice, she is guided by faith and compassion, blending naturopathy, homeopathy, and clinical hypnotherapy to support healing of the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Holding dual doctorate degrees in Holistic Health and Naturopathy, a master’s degree in Homeopathy, Dr. Hoke is Board Certified by the AADP and ACHM, certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy and an ordained Christian chaplain.

Her own 35-year healing journey of compound neurological illnesses inspires her mission: To support and share in God’s grace, inspiring healing of the body, mind, spirit and soul of each individual by encouraging a life of faith, resilience, peace, and growth in Christlikeness.

Resilience in Grace

Natural medicine and holistic health is not new; it has ancient, sacred roots. This faith-based program explores the profound connection between God’s creation and natural healing, emphasizing how faith, nature, and biology work together to support healing. Rooted in the belief that God has provided what we need for life and restoration, this series examines various subjects of natural medicine as divine tools for healing and resilience.

Through open discussion and interactive participation, we explore how the energetic components of anatomy and biology are influenced by spiritual practice, faith, prayer, meditation, homeopathy, herbs, essential oils, nutrition, and lifestyle practices to support the body’s divine ability to heal.

Primary Objectives:

  • Full acceptance and faith in God’s divine intervention
  • Belief in the body’s natural ability to heal
  • Focuses on prevention, emphasizing root cause of illness
  • Promotes interactive communications between body, mind, spirit, and GOD.
  • Utilizes natural therapies like energetic management, spiritual hygiene, herbs, homeopathy, nutrition, water, sunlight, rest, and exercise
  • Encourages personal responsibility for health and the full utilization of health resources available.

We look forward to sharing with you! Thank you!

Further Description:

Illness Changes the soul. It refines the soul. It prepares the soul. Where the workings of the brain meet the purpose of the soul, it is there, where the clarity of the mind reside.

Neurological conditions often occur together, but like multitudes of others…we accommodate, we adapt and we find OUR wn individual normal, because we’ve learned NOT to wait for the ideal situation to choose happiness.

The 12 Steps Beyond …provides safe, supportive community for individuals and families living with compound, complex neurological, neurodegenerative, and neurodiverse conditions, including Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Epilepsy, Tourette’s, ADHD, Cognitive Disorders, Ataxias, Traumatic Brain Injury, MS, Chronic Pain, Neuron Disorder, etc.

Our gatherings are guided by Steps 13–24, an original framework developed by Heidi for ongoing spiritual healing and personal growth that goes beyond conventional recovery approaches. Participants explore specific strategies of being, self-mastery, emotional integration, presence, conscious service, and continual renewal, supported by gentle strategies that promote

  • Emotional & Psychological Support
  • Spiritual & Faith Integration
  • Education & Awareness
  • Community & Connection
  • Practical Tools & Self-Care
  • Holistic Wellness
  • Advocacy & Empowerment

Shake, Paddle and Roll : Every Body Wins

Pickleball is our game, laughter is our fuel, and friendship is our victory—because tremors don’t stop us! We Shake, Paddle & Roll to the music, and a little dance step might sneak in. Come move your body and join in the joy!

2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Beginning February 14th and 28th

Pickleball is more than just a game—it’s a therapeutic, brain-boosting activity for people with Parkinson’s. The fast-paced, multidirectional movements challenge hand-eye coordination and stimulate motor control, helping to maintain agility, balance, and fine motor skills. Engaging both sides of the body can reduce asymmetry and improve coordination, while strategic play supports cognitive functions like planning, attention, and decision-making. Social interaction on the court increases dopamine and endorphin release, lifting mood and reducing stress, which are critical for neurological resilience. The low-impact, adaptable nature of pickleball allows participants to exercise safely, strengthen muscles, and enhance cardiovascular fitness, all while having fun. In short, pickleball combines physical, cognitive, and social stimulation to help people with Parkinson’s maintain independence, movement confidence, and overall quality of life.

Tai Chi & Balance and Strengthening Class

Tai Chi Balance & Strengthening Class – Granbury First United Methodist Church

GFUMC has offered excellent opportunities in Tai Chi for many years offered by Brenda Seawall. Tai Chi has been widely studied as a supportive therapy for neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other movement or cognitive disorders. Its benefits arise from the unique combination of slow movement, balance training, breath regulation, and focused attention, which directly engage the nervous system. Group Tai Chi builds fellowship, reduces isolation, and fosters encouragement—especially important for those facing progressive neurological challenges. In Methodist life, healing often happens in community, not in isolation.
